At Mark1, we are proud of our exemplary record in guiding businesses to UKAS accredited ISO certification — we have a 100% certification success rate to date! But who exactly are UKAS, and why are they so important to our sector?
Who are UKAS?
UKAS stands for the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, and is the sole National Accreditation Body for the United Kingdom. It is independently recognised by the UK government as the assessor for nationally and internationally agreed standards, including “certification, testing, inspection, calibration and verification”. In their own words, UKAS “checks the checkers”! They emphasise trust, assurance, and quality. With a UKAS accredited certification, you can demonstrate your own commitment to these values to both faithful and potential customers.
The Journey to Certification
Whether you are working towards ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001 or another certification, the Mark1 team can help. We are very familiar with the UKAS-mandated process (our results speak for themselves), and can help with anything from precise internal auditing to refining documented procedures. As the pandemic began, we moved seamlessly into Virtual Internal Auditing, and as a result we now offer Remote Consultancy in the long-term.
