September was a very busy month for the Mark1 team– but we’ve found the time to update you on our recent news and successes. We hope that you are all keeping warm as winter draws closer and the nights get darker.
We had 6 assessment days in September, a fantastic result! We also enjoyed getting the team together for our quarterly meeting and team social, celebrating what we have achieved and discussing exciting future opportunities.
There has been a great deal of change for the country in September– Her Majesty the Queen sadly passed away on September 8th, and the 19th was designated a bank holiday in her honour. We remember and thank her for 70 years of dedicated service to the country. Liz Truss also replaced Boris Johnson as Prime Minister.
In personal news, we recently acquired a Tesla, as part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly. Everyone at Mark1 wants to do their bit to support the environment and combat climate change– if we all make small changes in our lives, we can make a big difference.
In case anyone needed a feel-good story today; at the end of September, UK scientists announced that a form of cancer therapy (using a common virus to destroy the damaging cells) has been through some promising human trials, meaning that an injection of this treatment may be able to offer some reprieve to patients with advanced cancers. And, with that exciting news, we wish you a happy October!
Take care, everyone,
The Mark1 Team
