Mark1 Business Systems – November Update

November Update

Welcome to our monthly update…

With the majority of November spent in lockdown it has felt like rather a long month for many. There has, however, been some very positive news this month in terms of the development of high efficacy Covid19 vaccines, including one developed in the UK by Oxford University in collaboration with AstraZeneca. The last day of the month has also shown us that the latest figures indicate that rates of infection are down by 30% .

For Mark 1 it has been ‘virtual’ business as usual this month, completing 8 ½ days’ worth of remote Assessment Assistance amongst numerous internal audits and management reviews. We are also very pleased to welcome Project RECCE on board as a new customer.

Project RECCE

It was perhaps apt that Project RECCE first contacted us on 11th of November (Remembrance Day) to discuss implementing a Quality Management System to achieve UKAS accredited ISO9001:2015 certification. Project RECCE has a simple mission: to become the number one organisation in the UK for veterans wishing to enter employment in the construction industry. Aiming to achieve the ISO9001 standard was therefore an obvious goal for them.

Paul Nolan, one of our Senior Consultants, is going to lead this worthwhile project; as an ex-armed forces man himself, this is a cause, that particularly resonates. To find out more click here

A typical working week for our Consultants…

As promised last month, we are having a closer look at how a typical working week looks for one of our consultants. As our consultants work with companies of varying sizes and sectors one thing that is ‘typical’ is that no week is the same. Below is an example of a week that demonstrates the range of services we provide (for differing sectors) on a day to day basis.

Monday: Assistance with the ISOQAR Assessment for ISO9001:2015 (commercial and industrial electrical contractor).

Tuesday: Virtual Environmental Audit (designers, manufacturers and installers of street furniture, canopies and shelters).

Wednesday: Virtual Internal Audits on Portal and Membership (Chamber of Commerce).

Thursday: Virtual internal audits on: Filling of tankers and Risk Management & Continual Improvement (Commercial and Industrial bulk fuel specialists).

Friday: Virtual Management Review (provider of furniture and refurbishments for schools, commercial laboratories, and healthcare establishments).

What’s Next…

We’re holding our next webinar Driving Improvements with IIP and ISO on the 8th December at 11am. We’ll be joining forces with Martin Loynd of Inspiring Your Success and Jonny Fletcher of Inspiring Your Finance to deliver this collaborative Webinar. We’ll be looking at some of the correlations between ISO and IIP as we investigate how a collaborative approach may be beneficial to your business. If you are interested in joining us please follow this link for more information and to book your FREE tickets. Get tickets here.

Thanks for reading our November Update and we wish everyone all the best over the next month.
