Mark 1 Business Systems – October Update

October

Welcome to our October update, and what a month it was! The team has been really busy and the world around us has too, it’s hard to believe that there are only two months of 2021 left!

Here’s what’s been going on…

Assessments have been back in full swing with an impressive 11 completed – and all successfully. We have continued to offer both physical/on-site and remote auditing to suit our customers and this has been received favourably, with it meaning that they have more flexibility in their availability. We pride ourselves on working with our customers to enable them to achieve ISO certification in a way that is best suited to their business.

We’ve welcomed an exciting new client on board that specialises in digital signage but also background music.

Following the launch of the revamped Titan system last month, we have had lots of fantastic feedback with customers finding it more intuitive and streamlined, and we’re already planning the next phase of changes which will ensure that it remains an agile and user-friendly solution which adapts to changing customer needs.

Ian has been with us for a full month and in all the right ways it feels like he has been with us forever! We’ve had lots of great feedback about him from our customers, too so he has certainly been a fantastic addition to our team.

One thing that the world returning to some sort of normal has highlighted, is the need – perhaps more than ever – to focus on mental health and well-being. Previously our team has completed Trek to the Wrecks which is a walking tour led by knowledgeable and trained guides, and was great both for team building and some mental ‘self-care’. We’d highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fun way to get their team back together after what has been a particularly strange 24 months.

Paul is taking a little time out at the end of November to have an operation on his shoulder and recuperate afterwards. We’re looking forward to having him back fit and well, and we’re sure you’ll join us in wishing him a speedy recovery.

But outside of the Mark1 office, it’s been a strange month, too! The petrol crisis caused havoc up and down the country, with fuel stations running dry and people queuing for hours to fill up. As a result, we’re seeing petrol at a record price of 142.92p per litre (ouch), which is, of course, contributing to the cost of living rising at its highest rate for over 30 years, with the average jumping from 3.1% to 4% in 2022.

And finally, what on earth happened at Old Trafford?! Jaws dropped as Liverpool beat Manchester United an embarrassing 5-0, the biggest victory over the rivals ever and Mo Salah becoming the first visiting player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford. He’s now the all-time African top goal scorer! We wonder if he had set this as one of his quality objectives?

So it’s been hectic, but brilliant and we’re excited to see what the next two months bring. If anything in our October update has been of particular interest and you’d like some further information, please contact 0161 359 4329 or email info@mark1systems.com and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you for reading our October update and we wish everyone all the best over the next month.

The Mark 1 team.
