Welcome to our January update, we’ve made an excellent start to 2022! First of all, we’d like to introduce the latest addition to the family; this is our Irish Setter puppy, Paddy. He is settling in well, claiming hearts and treats alike— he’ll be running his own audits in no time.
In the spirit of embracing new things, we are also looking into expanding our offerings, particularly around ISO45003. This ISO standard governs the management of psychological health in the workplace, and is designed to be implemented as part of a broader occupational health and safety management system. It can help businesses to prevent ill health and accidents, and prioritise the wellbeing of their workforce.
Elsewhere, the African Cup of Nations continues, after Algeria (the defending champions) were knocked out by the Ivory Coast on January 20th. The semi-finals, Burkina Faso v. Senegal and Cameroon v. Egypt, begin on February 2nd. Who is your money on?
Mark1 also played well from the moment the whistle blew for 2022, with twelve assessment days this month. This is a fantastic achievement, and we are very proud of the team for their hard work. Also, we were delighted to welcome a new client, a company in Oldham that operates in the construction industry. Between these successes (and the mixture of site and virtual audits that we conducted this month), we have been very busy this January, helping our clients to achieve the standards that they are striving for.
Whilst we were blown away by the team’s dedication, we all battened down the hatches as the January wind threatened to do the same! Storm Malik and Storm Corrie have both caused damage and ground infrastructure to a halt across the UK— we hope that you have all have managed to stay safe and dry.
From January 17th, the COVID-19 isolation rules changed, allowing us to end self-isolation after 5 days, provided negative tests are obtained on days 5 and 6. We continue to prioritise the health and safety of our staff and clients, and encourage everyone to keep an eye on the most up-to-date guidelines available.
As January turns to February, we can’t wait to turn our excellent start into an excellent year. If you would like to discuss anything we’ve mentioned in this January update, you can contact us on 0161 359 4329 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Happy New Year to you all, and we hope to see you again next month!
The Mark1 Team.
